Look Around

As we enter into the first weekend of summer, Zach encourages each of us to step out of our usual routines, look around, and enjoy the beauty in our world. Namaste.

I didn’t realize how long it has been since I posted here. It’s a month since you posted this one, Patti. I hope all is well! And Plods, it was good to hear your son is recovering. I assume he is now back at work? Take care all!

    • Unfortunately, no. He had another to untangle the tube in his abdomen 2 weeks ago. Then his old scar on his belly ruptured (or erupted) surgery Wednesday to move the tube over to correct that and now he has a hole the size of my thumb in his belly that we have to repack at least twice a day until it heals from the inside out. But he’s going to work from home starting Monday.

I’m thinking of taking up drinking after this is over.

No you don’t want to do that. But I think that remark was perhaps, “tongue in cheek”?

It “sucks” when our kids get sick, doesn’t it? But I think things will get better! You are both in my prayers, and I mean that. I always include my friends in my prayers at night that have an issue of some sort in their lives. Be it my friends here, or my “virtual friends” who sadly, I will probably never meet in person.

Hang in there Plods. I believe it WILL get better. It’s good he’s going back to work, even if it is from home. It will help keep his mind busy.

WHERE IS MY DOODLE DAYS?! I MISS IT! I have a framed photo of Zach at the beach ,jumping up with the Caption “Live Large”! Bought it online from Word Press a WHILE back. So glad I did! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Plods with Beer says:

I bought two. One for me and one for a friend.
Both are in prominent places in the house.

Patti has been posting a few on Facebook.

        • Por nada. Zach is very photogenic and you put a great spin on the photos. It’s kinda like a look into ‘my life as a doodle mom’. I love it.

When you were posting on Shutterfly, your photo and editing talents came out in ways I used to have aspirations to. I envy your eye.

So, hell yeah, I’m supportive….. and just a little bit jealous.

      • Dry and Dusty says:

Hi Plods! Sadly I don’t FB.
How is your son? How are you? I don’t post much at gocomics these days, either. I guess the MODS are happy now. They got what they wanted.
I don’t get a big ad when I come to Doodle Days. I also get it in my home email account. No ads, a small one every now and then, but not annoying.
Take care until we “meet” again!

        • My son’s been on short term disability since late summer. He’s been brain hardware free during that time and his body has had time to heal from all of the surgeries. Fingers crossed, we have 2 appointments next week to determine if he’ll have to have it reimplanted.

Me? I’m still a basket case but most that don’t know me well would say “That’s new?” I deal with humor and snarks and snerks. Turd is a blessing. He knows when I’m down and will come up and snuggle under my chin. It’s hard to be sad with doggie snuggles.

          Take care, Dry.

          • Dry and Dusty says:

Hi Plods! I hope all goes well with those next two appointments. I will say some prayers for you both.

I get the basket case part. Being a parent is tough! I was lucky to be born with 2 very good parents, both now deceased sadly. Now that I am a parent, it makes me appreciate my parents. And some of the worries I must have put them through. My sons are both adults now too.

Looking back, the little boy years were the easiest! ๐Ÿ˜‰

See you in our “travels”, my friend!

    • Hi, Dry and Dusty! I’m so sorry. I haven’t felt motivated about much of anything lately. I really do need to get back on it. I have done a few and put them on Facebook… I’ll post them here for you.

Thank you so much for buying the Live Large posters. I’m glad you like them!

      • Dry and Dusty says:

Hi Patti! Thanks for getting back to me! I hope you are well!
I appreciate you posting them here. I don’t do FB as I told Plods above here. Do I need to be a member to see them? If so, I guess I will miss them unless you bring them here as you said.
Yes, I love that Live Large Poster! It’s in my “woman cave”, LOL Men can have “man caves”. Why can’t women have “woman caves”, huh? ๐Ÿ˜€ I especially enjoy it when I need a boost of confidence, so to speak!
        Take care Patti!
